There has been some spirited discussion as to whether the Delta brake predates the 1983 cutoff and is thereby on-topic discussion according to the rules of the Classic Rendezvous Vintage Bike Mailing List.  Here it is, incontrovertible proof that the Campagnolo Delta brake's design originated before 1983.  This photo, taken after lunch in a small seafood restaurant in Vicenza, shows the very first Delta brake sketch on a butter-soaked napkin.  Done in haste at the moment of inspiration, the drawing unfortunately no longer exists (having been disposed of by an over-eager busboy).  But the photo is evidence enough and should put the matter to rest once and for all... the Delta brake falls within the CR timeline.
